Extension Activities - Curriculum Ideas Mathematics

1. Set up datafile for own class.
   
   
2. Compare average heights now with those in the datafile. Divide between male and female.
   
   
3. Set up charts (possibly using a spreadsheet program) or a formula (calculators) to convert feet and inches to centimetres and £sd to new pence.
   
   
4. Add other columns to a copy of the datafile to make it easier to analyse eg male/female, height in cm, categories of the items stolen, types of offence, types of occupation.
