Information submitted by Linda Swain

I believe James Childs to be my 3x great grandfather. He was baptised on 29.5.1803 at Milton Eernest. He married Martha Lord from Felmersham on 13.1.1824. He died in 1877. His daughter Catherine Burton Childs baptised 6.11.1825 was my 2x great grandmother. Other children were John Lord, George, Mary, Isaac, Ezra

Assuming that the additional information provided by Linda Swain indeed concerns this James Childs, then he seems to have remained in Milton Ernest for the remainder of his life, but had many more children (possibly at least 10?) than just those identified by Linda.
His family can be found in various censuses at:
1841: HO107:7-9, Folio 11, Page 16 = High Street, Milton Ernest (6 children listed)
Catherine is absent from that household, but may be at HO107:7-9, Folio 4, Page 3 = Church Farm, Milton Ernest, with other Lord/Childs/Cowdle relatives?
1851: HO107:1751, Folio 175 Page 3 #7 = Pleasant Place, Milton Ernest (7 children listed)
1861: RG09:0986, Folio 56, Page 14 #84 = Greens Cottages, Milton Ernest (3 children listed)
1871: RG10:1538, Folio 57, Page 9 #54 = Radwell Road, Milton Ernest. (2 children listed)
